Tuesday March 16th my little brother James was headed to the hospital to see his daughter in the nicu. She was born 2 months early so therefore they have to keep her there for a certain amount of time. This baby has changed james tremendously and a lot of us have seen that change in him. Unfortunately on his way to the hospital he was involved in a very serious motor vehicle accident. He was on a scooter/moped type vehicle and was hit by a full sized truck. He had gotten very traumatic head injuries. During imaging the following day we had found out that he was declared to have no brain activity and the only things keeping him alive at this point is him being incubated and the ivs they have him hooked up on. He is an organ donor so as of right now they are finding recipients for his organs. The doctor believes the surgery for this will happen Friday (March 19th) or Saturday (March 20th). Once he goes back for that surgery that will be the last time we will ever get to lay eyes on him again besides pictures. He leaves behind 3 beautiful children ages 2,1, and 1 month along with 12 nieces and nephews that were very very close to him. Our family is asking for any help you may be able to offer whether it be $1 or just a share anything honestly truly helps. He was working towards finishing up getting things for his new babygirl before she comes home since he wasn’t expecting her to come early. This has all happened so fast so we are trying to prepare ourselves for this but since we didn’t expect this to happen we aren’t ready at all. Also please remember to send prayers for our entire family as we go through this. Thank you all so very much. We are trying to cover any expenses that may occur during this process. Any remaining funds that may be left after all expenses are covered will be put into a trust fund for his children and also donated to other trauma organizations to help others in similar situations.
