Hello. Our Dad, Daniel Sonnenberg suffered from a massive heart attack due to a clogged artery this past Monday. He has been in ICU ever since. Each day he gets stronger but he is still on a breathing tube. We haven't been able to talk to him since this entire ordeal. He flatlined 11 times on Monday but he is still alive but in critical condition. This came out of nowhere. Our Dad means everything to us and we mean everything to him. I know that is why he is still fighting to see his family again. On top of the worst situation any of us have ever had to deal with in our lives, comes a tremendous financial burden. My Dad has been a hard worker and the best at what he does for 40+ years and he is only 58. Insurance is almost maxed out at this time due to him being in the ICU for 6 days now and on life support. He is making progress but even once the breathing tube is taken out and he can breathe completely on his own again, he is in for a long road to recovery and will be in the hospital for weeks, if not months. There is no telling as everyone is different. All we know is that my Dad is a badass and he fought this hard to stay with us and has beaten all odds so far and when he comes completely back to us, we don't want him to feel like there is a financial burden added to this equation as well.
Dan Sonnenberg, our Dad, is an amazing person who deserves nothing but good in his life. We cannot understand, as I am sure no one can in these situations, how this is deserved. All we can do is deal with the current situation and try to make this as smooth a transition into recovery as possible for him. We are a very prideful bunch but we are putting that aside for the moment to ask his/our family and friends to help him/us with his needs.
Anything you may be able to contribute will help. I know most of us are going through hard times, but anything you can donate would be tremendously appreciated and put to good use. We will be using the money for medical expenses, at home care, and our Dad's general comfort.
We ask everyone to continue to pray and send positive energies to help with our Dad's full recovery. Thank you to everyone who has helped in this way so far. It is really working.
Thank You in Advance for any contributions and prayers.
