Hi everyone! Please read the message I received from one of our heart nurses today. It breaks my heart every time I read it. Mostly because this person is one of the most giving individuals I have ever known. All of his coworkers are trying to help but we need everyone to help bless this beautiful soul.
“ I have been beyond blessed in my medical career working almost 10 years at Lovelace Women’s Hospital with some amazing people. I will forever cherish my friendships and time there. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was accepting a RN position at the Heart Hospital of NM. I have met many amazing coworkers who have accepted me and treat me like family. I absolutely love being part of the cardiovascular team at Heart! I wouldn’t trade it for anything! I absolutely love being a nurse and giving back to my patients. Little did I know that on March 11, 2021 will be the day that forever changed my life. That past week I noticed I was bruising very easily and feeling pretty weak. March 11, 2021 I ended up in the emergency room with the diagnosis of Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia “APL”. It’s a rare form of leukemia which will require at least one month in hospital chemotherapy treatments. Being a nurse is my passion and paying it forward is my drive. I am Blessed to know you all and have you in my life! Thank you for all the positive thoughts, vibes, well wishes and prayers! My heart to you all!!”
