Randy Cummins medical fund
Donation protected
I'm starting this fundraiser for my brother Randy Cummins who is 59 yrs old and was just diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. 4 years ago he battled tongue and throat cancer with lots of complications. He developed an infection from his pic line which went to his bones that caused major bone loss in his back. He had surgery to replace the bone loss which caused him alot of pain and limited quality of life. 0ne year ago a mass was found in his left lung , Dr removed the mass with half of his lung and was told they got it all and needed no treatment. Now he was diagnosed last week with Small Cell Lung Cancer.
Randy, Deannie as known by all his childhood friends and family grew up in Chesterfield and has lived in the area all of his life. He graduated from Highland Highschool in 1975. He worked at Emgee Meat Packing in Anderson until they closed. He then went to school to become a Union Journeyman Electrician , IBEW481. He worked a few shops before being hired by Nugent Electric and worked for them until he became disabled. The Nugent's became like family and Randy loved his time working with them.
Randy married his loving wife Rita McComas Cummins 17 years ago and moved to Daleville, they now live in Dunkirk. Randy has one daughter Kristin Goetterman who lives in California with her husband Patrick. He also has three stepsons, Shawn [Angie] Cummings, Jeremy [Shannon] Cummings and Chad Cummings.
Randy has always been strong in his faith and has a love for everyone. All he has been through he still has a smile!
Some of his medicine is not covered by insurance and he needs this to help him breathe easier but can't afford it.
He is wanting to go to Cleveland Clinic, he believes this hospital can help him. They are more advanced in Small Cell Cancer. If they can help him and start treatment it could be a long stay and very expensive, with his limited income this would be impossible for him to do. Randy feels this is his last medical hope, but not his last hope because it's in Gods hands.
We as his family feel we need to reach out and try and help him with this. ANY DONATIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED and with the diagnoses of 2 months to a year, time is very important. Please remember us in your prayer.
Thank You and God Bless
