Couple survives horrific truck trailer accident

My good friends were involved in an accident at Malad Gorge Bridge due to wind and their truck went off the edge as they hung there for well over an hour staring down at the bottom of the canyon as all their belongings as they kept falling out of the back of their truck when the camper shell came off past their heads... Their two dogs were inside the truck with them and the rescue teams were absolutely phenomenal and they are so grateful to be alive... scratches, bruises and overall soreness is the extent of their injuries thank God!
Their insurance won’t cover their hotel while they wait for the claim to settle because the insurance company is claiming that they didn’t state that they were living in it which is total crap because they did know that they were living in it so they aren’t even sure what to do about that but apparently none of the contents of the trailer will be covered and we have yet to get in there ... I’m sure everything is destroyed but we will see when we go there in the next hour or when they figure out how to get it towed! If not then we will find out in a couple days!
Everything is obviously totaled. In fact their trailer is still there on the side of the road because they can’t move it or it will fall apart! What this ‘go fund me’ is for ... is to help them pay for a hotel until the insurance settles their claim and they can get another travel trailer (she is not even sure she wants another one at this point...) so sad!
They had all their collectibles and coins passed down through family that all fell in the canyon which a lot of was recovered by the state troopers.
I offered my trailer and then I can go stay with friends in the meantime but we thought that if we could raise some money they could use it to have their own space... either way is fine with me but they aren’t the kind of people to want to inconvenience anyone so I am sitting there with them trying to get them to eat something then we can go back to the accident scene and I’ll climb down and try to recover as much of their belongings as we can.
This fundraiser has gone well over the goal and we thank you so much! If you want to still donate you are more than welcome as I’m sure they will need it to replace their items that were broken in the accident and unforeseen things... all the walls fell in and everything fell out even the fridge fell ... the only salvageable furniture in the trailer is the table and the mattress ... and a hand carved wood table that Nicki’s dad gave to her that’s leg broke off and needs some tlc Thank you so much again for your donations!
