Lori Pusztai’s lung cancer treatment

Hi Everyone,

My mom Lori Pusztai was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer a couple weeks ago. We were hopeful as non small cell is known to grow at a slower rate. Unfortunately we found out today that the cancer has metastasized to 3 of her lymph nodes, near her stomach & a tumor on her lung resulting in stage 4 non small cell lung cancer and will need chemo to treat it. 

My moms insurance will not cover all of it, nor will it cover the drugs (which we won’t know how much the drugs will be until we get to that point). To make sure my mom gets the best results possible she will be doing a holistic treatment on top of that which will be pricey. We’re still waiting to hear back on some tests (brain scan & stomach scan) & I will update this if the treatment will be more money. 

Lori is an amazing mother (7 kids), grandma (12), dog mom (2), cat mom (2), friend and confidant. As many of you know she is recently widowed. She is the strongest woman I know and anyone whose met her can attest to that. Despite my dad and grandma passing away and every situation on top of that recently that’s brought her overwhelming emotions and stress, she’s always maintained a positive attitude. She absolutely hates asking people for help but I would be so incredibly grateful if we could raise this money for her. The last thing my mom should be stressing/worrying about is how to pay for this. Like I said, my mom is strong and we’re all very hopeful that she’ll react well to chemo. 

If we happen to go over the goal of $20,000, all the money Lori receives will go towards getting her back on her feet/ paying her bills as she’s currently unable & will be too weak to work.
