On March 12th, Anthony Greer was arrested and was relieved of duty pending further investigation by the El Paso Police Department’s Internal Affairs Unit for the incident that occurred on Jan. 30th. This fundraiser was created for the important basic needs such as food, care and safety, rent, car insurance and health insurance for his family pending the completion of the investigation. He originally took the job to make a change, to protect and to serve the community where he lives. KFOX14 interviewed Greer while he was training for the El Paso Police Academy in 2017, in which he can be seen responding “It makes me think of my life and my family. I know I can do this job to the best potential I know I can”, when asked about the dangers officers face while on the job. Being a man is about taking responsibility and using your willpower to become the person that you know you can and should be. It’s about using your power as a man to serve others and create positive change, which he has and will continue to do.
