Friends & Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this gofundme story for my dear friend, Shannon.  On Saturday, June 18, 2016, Shannon's life changed in an instant.  She suffered a heart attack and at some point had a series of 4 strokes.  The strokes have caused short term memory loss.  Her most significant side effect from the stroke is that she suffered significant loss of sight in her right eye. At this point, Shannon does not know what is temporary versus permanent damage.  

She has been released from the hospital, however, her life has changed.   As most of you know, Shannon is self-employed as a Court Reporter.  Unfortunately, she is currently unable to work or drive.   A home health nurse comes to her home to perform blood draws.   She also has occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy, all in her home.

The last week has been very difficult and emotional for Shannon.   We all know that she is a fighter with an amazing spirt and faith.  As I was looking through Shannon's Facebook photographs to find one to post on this site, I became overwhelmed with emotion.  Her energy, beauty and generosity are contagious.  She has volunteered endless selfless hours to help those in need.  

Since Shannon is unable to work and her medical bills will be significant, I am hoping this gofundme account can help her get back on her feet again until she is able to work.
