Help Helen get cancer treatment in Malaysia
Donation protected
Hi my name is Abby and I am fundraising to raise money for my mom’s life saving cancer treatment.
She was unexpectedly diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal cancer, a cancer in the head an neck. On March 4th, after a CT scan, the doctor told her the tumor could grow into her brain through a small gap in her skull if left untreated, it had also spread to a second location in a lymph node. Because of the difficult area, they are not able to operate and remove the tumor. She needs targeted chemo and radiation therapy to shrink the tumor in time.
The Modern Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, China is one of the only places specializes in NPC therapy that can deliver chemo and radiation directly to the tumor. They would use three different methods to kill the cancer over a period of 6 months. The cost of treatment would be around 40,000 in US dollars. Since NPC cancer is rare, and most cases occur in Asia, there are no specialized facilities equipped to give her targeted treatment in the US.
My mom is my rock, she has always supported me in everything I do. Our friends know she is the kindest, warmest person and is the first to help anyone in need. We would be extremely grateful for any donation that could help us get her to China.
