Family, friends, and loved ones of Austin Stevens,
On June 7th, 2016, we lost the precious life of an incredible young man that was tragically murdered in The Villages, Florida. Austin was taken away from his son, family, girlfriend, and friends as a result of this heinous act, and we continue to mourn his loss everyday. His smile was captivating, and his overcoming of trials and tribulations is beyond inspiring. As Austin is no longer with us, we all know he has "gone fishin' " and his passion for the big catch of the day is carried on with his family.
The Lake County Children's Memorial Garden will provide a peaceful sanctuary for our bereaving family and loved ones to remember and celebrate Austin's life. Located on Lake Idamere in Tavares, our journey to emotional healing will be encouraged by this beautiful oasis of biodiversity and alluringly unique series of spaces for respite, meditation, and contemplation.
Your financial support will go directly toward construction costs for bringing the Children's Memorial Garden to a reality! Our goal is to raise $75,000 to have a Reflection Alcove in the garden named after Austin so he can be close to the water where he spent most of his time waiting for the next big catch.
The garden offers areas to gather in groups or individually, and at the garden's restoration outlook, his son, Hyatt, will be able to paint custom tiles with his family to be displayed for all to see.
