In December of 2014 Cj was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma(which is a form of bone cancer) in his right distal femur, he started chemotherapy in January of 2015 and continued that until he slipped on ice in March of 2015 and broke his leg. When he broke his leg the fracture went through his tumor and forced him to get a amputation because then the cancer would spread. Cj got an amputation called rotation plasty where they rotate the calf and foot and use it as a knee so he could walk better when the healing was done. After the amputation in April of 2015 Cj continued chemotherapy until October of 2015 where they declared him cancer free. Up until June 19,2016 Cj was feeling good, he was learning to walk again and starting to go back to his normal life. And then on June 19 Cj started to have very bad chest pains and couldn't breath we rushed him to the hospital where they found out he had a collapsed lung on his left side. After they did the scans they later discovered that the Osteosarcoma came back and covered his lungs. It was not easy hearing that you have cancer again. Cj had a tube put in his lung to help the collapsed lung and on June 23 he had surgery to remove 15 tumors on his left lung. He will be having another surgery in 2-3 weeks for the tumors on the right side and after that they will start immunotherapy or chemotherapy depending on how the surgery goes. This will be a rough journey that he will fight through again. Cj didn't have a lot of options left this time around so we are praying that everything goes well!
CJ's parents are very hard working people who try to make ends meet and try to make their son (and only child) to continue a normal life style. However, with all the medical bills coming in quickly, it's been very difficult. We are asking to PLEASE donate anything you can afford to help with these bills. It will be forever appreciated. CJ is a great 19 yr old young man who has his whole life ahead of him. As many prayers are sent to him and his family, a little bit of donation will make it a little stress free for them. Thank you so very much
