Two years ago my youngest son Jacob (now 5)was diagnosed with leukemia.With the grace of God and overwhelming support of all we know,he was in remission,showing no more signs of the cancer in just 12 short days.Jacob now only faces one more year of chemotherapy,and is in the maintenance phase of treatment,meaning much fewer spinal taps and other more intrusive portions of the treatment!He still carrys his port beneath the skin,just above his heart!,and counts down for the nurses as they goto access it!
This little angel is most certainly my hero,for the strength,adversity, and resilience he shows with joy and smiles.
Due to the overwhelming needs in caring for him and his older brothers simultaneously.Jacob now lives in the projects with his mother and brothers.
I,their father,am staying in a brokendown schoolbus(it's great!)here in Asheville,to help their care.
It is my goal to rent/buy/or best yet!,build Jacob and his brothers a home!
They are outstanding children and students!.,and incredible break dancers!(you may be familiar with them)
