this fund is to help our friends Yenny and Favio who are recent victims of the large earthquake in Ecuador.
I am Gabriela Chavez from Oakland Ca., and met Yenny and Favio years ago and have remained in contact with them over the years and have had them stay with me when they have come back to visit Oakland.
Yenny and Favio unfortunately lost everything they had in the earthquake. They are devastated but are trying to remain hopeful, with the hope to be able to rebuild their lives little by little. Favio had lived in Northern California with a thriving business for over 20 years before finally returning to his mother land to build his dream home and a hotel to support him and his young family.
Unfortunately all they have at this moment is the shirt on their backs. After messaging them they have asked if their friends and whoever else can, will help raise money for them to come back to the States.
Our goal is to raise at least $8000 to help them buy their tickets back to the US and begin to establish themselves in California once again. This money goes towards helping them buy their airfare for them selves and the kids and to hopefully have a little something extra to buy whatever they need once they are here.
The last I heard they are planning to come back to the States in about a months time. Hopefully, Favio can rebuild his business once again and Yenny can work, inorder to help their family and loved ones also rebuild their life back in Ecuador.
No donation is too small or too big, so please do what your heart and finances are able to do. Favio's sister and I will make sure that all the money from this account goes directly to them for this purpose.
