Lard Oil Employee Flood Relief Fund
Donation protected
The town of Denham Springs, LA, was devastated by the recent flooding in the Baton Rouge area. It is estimated that as many as 90% of the homes in this area flooded, while less than 10% had flood insurance. The employees of Lard Oil Company were especially hard hit by this disaster. Lard Oil is located in Denham Springs, and most of its employees reside in Livingston Parish. 26 Lard employees were impacted by the flooding. Seven families lost everything, and some are still living in a shelter. Fourteen other homes received significant flood damage, and five more lost their vehicle to the flood waters.
Lard Oil Company is a strategic ExxonMobil lubricants distributor in the Baton Rouge area. This fund is a way for employees of ExxonMobil (and anyone else) to help our friends and business partners at Lard Oil in this time of need. These funds will be directly used to help the employees of Lard Oil recover and rebuild from this disaster. Until you have seen firsthand the mountains of flood debris lining the streets, it's hard to fully comprehend the magnitude of this event. Flooded homes are now in the process of being gutted down to the studs, and few items are able to be saved. Furniture, appliances, furniture, cabinets, sheetrock, insulations, clothes, food, medicine, vehicles, etc, must all be replaced.

If you have any questions regarding this or how the funds will be used, please contact me and I will be happy to share.
