Care to children in hospitals
Donation protected
Children in hospitals face fear and anxiety surrounded by strangers with strange equipment. Now imagine Santa and Mrs. Claus bringing toys, smiles, hugs and even prayers caring for these tender hearts.
Dr. Steven Mentzer and his wife Vicki created
Santa Calls For You to touch these lives and hopefully touch them "one smile at a time." Working four years in the planning and development of a very unique ministry, Vicki even completed a MBA for this singular purpose. Santa Calls For You brings high-definition video-conference calls to children throughout the year and brings encouragement, laughter, and joy while raising money to buy toys, coloring books and crayons for those children in regional medical centers.
In our planning we planned for the business to operate in our home but situations prevented this from happening. We now had facility renovations, rent, utilities, business insurances, video conference equipment, and business incorporation cut into our own savings reducing marketing funds and the inital purchase of toys.
I can think of no greater opportunity to help change the future by caring for a child. Years ago our own daughter faced a medical procedure in a hospital and told the local mall Santa. He asked if he could send a card and so we gave him our address. On Sunday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Claus showed up and brought our daughter a small bear--he still is with her years later.
Will you work with us to care for children and partner with us to comfort children "one smile at a time?"
