Bye for Now Kathy Rock

Hello Everyone!
It is truly impossible to put in words the life lived by this woman, mother, sister, nana, friend. Kathy Rock was someone unique to each person who's life was graced by her. For her every life was important, every soul worth love, every broken heart worth encouragement, every troubled soul worth the good fight, and especially, every breath of life worth celebration. She tought us all how to love, how to forgive, to shine, to dance, sing, laugh, be strong, carry on, how to BE. She stood for all life great or small, advocated when our voices were weak, and sang with us when our voices were strong. We have danced in her light, often found our way home by her light, and found comfort and strength in her warmth.
Everyone who knew Kathy knows that she would give you a place at her table, a blanket if you needed it, good water; if she had it and you needed it, it was yours. And of course, we could never forget a stone for your pocket! And in return for her graciousness, nothing but love and a smile. Kathy never asked for money, and I can't actually recal when she asked for much help at all. She was a rock, her own island.
However, in her passing, I believe we have the opportunity to do something for her. As important as every life was to Kathy, none could be quite so dear to her as her sons, and grandsons. The lives that grew from her own heart, now shining their own light in the world, Kathy's true love and gifts to the world, David, Erich, and their sons. Kathy's deepest concern until her last breath was for their well being.
We all know that there are always final expenses. Kathy would never ask for help, as well, neither would her family. So, I am humbly and gratefully asking that we all step up and help now that it is needed. Debt only furthers the burden of grief, and adds complexity to a heart that wants to celebrate an incredible life lived. What I hope, is that David and Erich will be able to honor their mother's final wishes, give her home and personal things the respect and dignity they deserve, and I hope, hope, hope we can pull together a memorial to remember our dearest friend. Any donations will be used first to cover final expenses, and secondly to honor her momory. I think our goal is just a mile stone.
So, please give if you have to give. If you have only a memory to give, please give that too. Kathy would have no expectations, only thankfullness for her family to come together in celebration of her life. Afterall, it was Kathy who has brought us all here to this one place, and that's pretty incredible!
"I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay...small acts of kindness and love."
