Our beloved Ricardo Almengor recently passed on March 7th, 2021. Rick was a wonderful friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind family members and friends.

Rick was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who had love for movies, music and aviation. I’ve met Rick here in Homestead Air Reserve Base as an Air Traffic Control Specialist. His passion for teaching and serving his country was always demonstrated.  Rick enjoy home cooked Mexican meals and was always for a good laugh.  He had many friends and family members all of whom loved him very much. 

We are all devastated by Rick’s loss and found a wonderful way to memorialize him via VetDogs. We want to give Rick the memorial he deserves and feel it will honor his memory best if we can sponsor a service puppy for a Veteran suffering from PTSD.  If we raise enough money we can name a puppy 'Pretty Ricky'.  In lieu of flowers for the services, please donate here and ALL funds will be turned over to the VetDogs organization for the puppy.   This puppy would be exactly Rick's cup of scotch!
