Kurt & Kristen's Support Fund

On June 6, 2016, Kurt and Kristen found out they were pregnant after many years of infertility. As life changing and exciting as this news was, it was short lived. Just two days later, Kurt was told his liver was full of tumors and he was referred to Lacks Cancer Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

On June 23, 2016, Kurt was diagnosed with stage two neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare cancer that causes malignant tumors to form in many different locations in the body. Continued scanning and testing is being done in an attempt to find the primary location of the cancer. Because, this cancer is so rare, Kurt is facing limited and possible experimental treatment options, along with aggressive chemo and radiation. There is currently no cure for this form of cancer. 

As many of you know, Kurt and Kristen have a deep devoted faith to our God and believe they are serving a bigger purpose that is not yet known. We all know that with God all things are possible and they have turned to God and are putting Kurt's diagnosis in his hands. 

With this diagnosis and during his treatments, Kurt may be unable to provide the basic financial support for his family. Kurt is a veteran of the United States Air Force, who served overseas during Desert Storm. He's worked very hard his entire life, so this page was started to help take some of the financial pressure off, as they begin this journey that God has put before them.
