Tiffany Mendez funeral & medical expenses

After over a year long battle with cancer, our beloved Tiffany passed on May 1, 2022, surrounded by those that loved her. Tiffany was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, godmother, and friend, who touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind her loving husband, David, 7-year-old son, David, and 2-year-old daughter, Ava.

 

In March 2021, Tiffany was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). While private about her journey through treatment, she was a warrior and continued to fight fiercely until the very end. We are all devastated by the loss of Tiffany and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service alongside her outstanding medical bills. We want to give Tiffany the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory, and the wonderful life she led, and say our last goodbyes.

Tiffany dedicated her life to education and was particularly passionate about helping women of color and first-generation college students make college a reality. She earned her bachelor's, master's, and a doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of La Verne and went on to work in financial aid for her alma mater, Scripps College, Occidental College, and Pomona College. The impact she had working in financial aid over the years with countless students in their journey to make college a possibility, truly is something she will always be remembered for.

 

We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Tiffany’s funeral and outstanding medical bills. We need to raise $25,000 by June 30 and any donation, no matter the size is greatly appreciated to help her family.
