My name is Jennifer, I'm 34 years old and have an amazing 15 year old son named Austin.  I'm a single mom who has always been healthy and enjoyed life to the fullest.  In December of 2015 I had a medical device called Essure implanted and haven't been the same since.  

The procedure is fairly new and there are only a handful of doctors who are properly trained to implant the devices.  Unfortunately, they are trained to perform the procedure but in the event that complications arise, they are not trained to reverse it.  I have been to various doctors and specialists over the past year and have undergone multiple tests, x-rays, medications and still my symptoms worsen.   After months of battling a multitude of symptoms and pain affecting my daily life, I found a doctor in North Carolina  who is fully trained and qualified to help me. 

The doctor in NC is one of the top rated specialist and sees patients from around the world.   My doctor has urged that the implants be removed sooner than later to avoid further complications.  Unfortunately, the procedure is being considered elective  and will not be covered by my health insurance.  Besides physical and emotional  changes, I now have to face the financial burden of medical and travel expenses.  I have run out of options and to be honest, reaching out like this is very hard for me.  With the kindness and support from the crowd funding movement, I can receive the surgery needed to return my body to normal function and live pain-free. 

As you can imagine, the costs for surgery is high and the expenses of travel is unobtainable for myself alone.  Whatever the outcome, I'm wishing to at least ease some of the financial stress and struggle in the coming months so that I can focus on my health, my son, my career, and my future.  If you can help, any amount  is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for your generosity.
