A Blessing for Sarah

My mom is in hospice and is no longer on dialysis. So as we understand it, it is only a matter of time. The family, unfortunately, is in the process of preparing for her funeral. My sister helps my mother every day, gets there around 8 am, and seldom leaves until midnight or even sometimes the next day.

She is often calling off work, and fortunately, Her current jobs understand and have given her the time off to take care of our mother. Yes, you read correctly, Jobs. I recently discovered she had been working three jobs to make ends meet.  My sister, however, is an hourly-based employee, so lately has not been receiving a check. Not only does she take off work from one job, but she's also actually taking off work from three different positions. 

On top of all of this, she has been trying to further her education. She takes classes every week and willingly accepts the task of caring for Mom and Papa G, who has terrible back issues that left him using a walker. Although he tries where he can, there is only so much he can do to help. My sister is often running errands for him as well. 

My mother in hospice is hard on all my family but specifically Sarah. Two of us, regrettably, live out of town and can not be there to relieve her. 

She is tasked daily with feeding, cleaning, and turning my mother, which can be overwhelming and tiring. 

She has not once complained about her own financial needs, nor has she asked for financial assistance with anything. She has selflessly and willingly taken on our elderly mom's task, even while still doing for her children and other family members. She is always putting the needs of others before her own.

 She has no idea that we are doing this for her, and her selfless deeds do not deserve to go unnoticed. Please help us help her. Give what you can and pass this story on to your friends if you can.
