I am a proud member of the Centreville HS Robotics Team #5243. Since the beginning of the school year, I have had the honor of planning, building, programming, and competing with one of the most amazing teams I've ever known. Despite the odds against us, our team has unexpectedly earned a position at the FRC World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri on April 28-29. Over the next two weeks, our team is faced with the unanticipated task of raising enough money to fund our trip to St. Louis. We are a tight-knit team with a lot of dedication and enthusiasm.
Many hours spent deep into the early morning, even on school nights, have been put toward this goal. What we lack in funds we make up for in resolve and commitment. While we only have a few official supporters, we have budgeted well up to this point. Our budgeting has allowed us to attend competitions in Haymarket, VA, Bel Air, MD, and West Palm Beach, FL. We did not anticipate making it this far. We are over the moon that we've come this far and that we have a huge opportunity to prove ourselves at this event.
Our involvement in the FRC World Championships is incredibly important to our team. In order to attend, we must cover the cost of transportation, lodging, equipment, and meals. Because this is all so unexpected, we are relying on friends, family, and small business owners to help us raise funds for this amazing opportunity. Any donation, small or large, is greatly appreciated. Your support could get us to St. Louis.
