I am Philip's Aunt Christine and want to let the world know about my amazing nephew and hope to help his family raise funds for his funeral costs. Philip's disability did not allow the family to have a life insurance policy in place for funeral costs so I have created this GoFundMe page to help them.
Philip was born in Menifee, Calif. to Heidi and Phil on February 2, 1994 with a severe case of spina bifida that left him paralyzed among other things. He has battled the effects of his disability his whole life with one lengthy and arduous hospital stay after another. We stopped counting at 50. His family has never once asked or received funds to help with the many expenses that have been incurred during Philip's life long battle.
Philip attended school in Norco and was able to receive a High School Diploma from Norco High School. Philip was so proud of his accomplishment! He was also a passionate fan of Angels Baseball. Mike Trout was his favorite player. He loved his family and friends with the purest of heart placing judgment on no one. He deeply touched the lives of all who knew him. He truly lived as a warrior among us and was our HERO!!! His life served as a beacon of God’s will and His plan was completed in Philip for His Glory!
Philip passed away at home peacefully June 17, 2016 after a 6 week stay in the hospital. His whole family was by his side. He passed while the Angels (baseball) were playing on the TV and his favorite christian music was playing in the background.
My family and I would be grateful for your donation to help celebrate Philip's memory.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday June 30 at Harvest Riverside with the Pastor Kevin McCauley of Harvest Christian Fellowship, officiating. Arrangements are by Pierce Brothers-Crestlawn Mortuary Funeral Home.
