My name is Ann Gustafson and I am Steven's aunt. As many know, Steven was murdered over the weekend of June 18th. A fact that our family finds unbelievable, horrific and unbearable. Our lives will never be the same. No one is more affected by this tragedy than the love of Steven's life, his son, Leo.
Steven was an amazing person. He always had a smile on his face, a positive attitude and time for those in need. Steven was strong in his faith. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend. If you were a friend of Steven's, he considered you family.
This page was created for two reasons, the first, being that Steven did not have a life insurance policy. Therefore, all funeral expenses will be the financial responsibility of his parents, Mike and Astrid. We hope to lessen their financial burden.
The second, is to create a education fund for Leo. The money will be invested and will be used for Leo's educational needs. We feel the best way we can honor Steven's memory is to take care of Leo.
Our family is overwhelmed by the outprouring of love and support we have received. Reading the online tributes to Steven and knowing how much Steven has touched so many lives in a positive way has been a source of comfort to us during this nightmare we find ourselves in.
There are not words strong enough to convey how grateful we are for the support that we are receiving from so many. We ask for your continued prayers as we try to move forward without our beloved Steven.
