In February of 2015, Debbie Gately was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Nicknamed the silent killer, over 14,000 woman died of ovarian cancer in 2014 alone (www.ocrf.org). The survival rate is 44% after 5 years. These are the scary statistics.
The good news is Debbie has an amazing team of doctors and medical staff at the Women's Cancer Center of Southern California and City of Hope. She is on the edge of medical breakthroughs and the future of cancer treatment, but her options are very expensive and not FDA approved in the US. She has an opportunity to be a part of a leading international clinic in Germany with promising success rates.
After her recovery from her 3rd surgery in a year and a half, she will be going to Germany for immunizations specifically made with her tumor cells. Exciting things are happening in cancer research! The treatment total will cost about $30,000 with travel, tumor storage (almost $10K alone), and clinical visits. Please help Debbie's fight, "Down with Ovarian Cancer!" with a little or a lot to help offset her extensive medical expenses.
Support Debbie in the fight of her life by showing her how much you are invested in her beating that five year mark statistic. Generosity and hope will help get her through her battle so she can continue supporting you.
Please help my mom and give her more time with her 2 children, 2 grandchildren, countless friends, family, dogs and loved ones. Thank you from her and everyone who loves her for being a part of her fight.
