Hello all,
Earlier this year I applied to a brand new opportunity in 4-H where I will be able to fly to Washington D.C. and attend the 2017 Presidential Inauguration. I have recently found out that I was selected with a few other youth from across the state. Along with viewing this history-making moment, I will be able to join many other intelligent and innovative youth in discussions and debates about how to improve ourselves, our communities, and our nations.
There will probably be no other chance for me to attend something so monumental and this trip is an incredible opportunity. The state 4-H extension needs a down payment of $500 by the end of July to purchase airline tickets and $1100 by the end of August to secure all other costs for the trip.
As I'm heading into college, extra finances are not an easy thing to throw into my agenda, however this trip is something I can't pass up without trying to make it happen. If you would be willing to donate any funds to my experience, I would be forever grateful and promise to work my hardest while in D.C. to bring something substantial home with me and make a difference in my communities.
