HELP ANDY AND AUBREY COBB OVERCOME

Andy Cobb and Aubrey Robinson Cobb of Mansfield, TX, are high school sweethearts with 2 boys, Kason 2 years and Easton 7 months. Andy and Aubrey have had some rough times over the past year. 

In 2020, while Aubrey was pregnant, Aubrey, Andy and Kason had Covid-19. Then in February, they were affected by winter storm Uri. They were without water and electricity during the storm and their apartment ended up being flooded. Then a couple of weeks later, the entire family tested positive for strep throat.

Then on March 2, Aubrey received an unimaginable call at 4:00am. Andy was involved in a hit and run accident at 3:45am on his way to work at Fed-Ex. He was T-boned by a 

driver of a Tahoe that ran a red light. The driver of the Tahoe ran off on foot, not pausing to see if Andy was alive or dead. A coworker who was driving behind Andy witnessed the accident and pulled Andy from his car. Andy was taken to the nearest ER with a concussion, punctured lung and broken ribs. He is now home recovering from his serious injuries. Aubrey said it best, “God had his arms around Andy in that little Honda.”.

Officers at the scene believe the driver was intoxicated and detectives have learned that person is an “excluded driver” on his mother’s policy. The insurance adjuster has given the crash rating of Andy’s 2 door Honda Civic a 6 and the Tahoe a 7. 

While they have suffered so much this past year, they know they continue to be blessed with their resilient health and overcoming the odds that seem stacked against them. When we ask Andy and Aubrey how they are doing, they will say, “we are good”. They remain faithful and they know God has a plan for them. We love them more than words can say.

Many friends and family love these kiddos so much and have asked how they could help or what they need. They need to replace belongings that were lost due to the water in their apartment and the car that was destroyed in the crash, as it was only covered by liability. Even the smallest amount can help, so we would be grateful if you would help us reach our goal.
