It's with deepest sadness that we inform you of the demise of one of my close friend Jeyakumar. He was in early 40s and his wife is in mid 30s and they have a boy who is 14 years old. Jeyakumar had kidney failure for the last 2 years and gone for dialysis almost all alternate days with lot of pain and struggle. The family spent all their savings for the treatment though the extended families & friends supported to some extent. Finally his wife donated her kidneys and the transplant had happened in early June. But within 15 days from the transplant date, he had some health issues and was hospitalized. He was declared dead in the hospital about an hour later on 22nd, June 2016. Bright future of a close-knit family was suddenly eclipsed by brutal reality.

Jeyakumar was the only earning person and his wife is a home maker.  She has to start from the scratch to run the family with the boy studying in 10 grade. As she had undergone surgery for the kidney transplantation and also with the loss of her beloved husband, it is really hard for her to get a job immediately and run the family. The primary focus of this fundraiser is to help the boy’s education though nobody can replace his beloved dad.

As a family friend we are trying to help his family by running this campaign to support his son’s education and family support.
