Be the change you want to see
Madilyn is 13 years old and an active leader in her school. Just a few short weeks ago, she was weighing a decision that would have a profound effect on anothers life and also her own. The only thing holding her back was how other students might react when she returned to school in the fall. She was thinking of shaving her head in exchange for donations to support Jayce, this years recipient of the annual Durand Aerie 3851 Eagle Riders Cruisin for a Cure. Being her decision alone, she thought it through and made up her mind after attending the annual Payton Cram Memorial Poker Run to benefit Camp Quality, a camp for children stricken with cancer. She knows cancer doesn't discriminate. Maddie will be shaving her head August 6th, 2016 at the event. Her goal is to raise $4000 to benefit Jayce's journey with ALCL Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was almost 3 when he was diagnosed in January 2015. He is currently seeking treatment at University of Michigan Motts Children's Hematology/Oncology. He has a long road ahead of him. How about we all support the 13 year old girl that has a heart so kind and brave to shave all much loved 32 ish inches of her hair. She also plans on donating her thick, gorgeous locks. Together, we can show her that her efforts are worth it and that one person really can make a difference. Help her to make footprints on this little boys path and also our community. What a leader WE have raised. It takes a village.
