Robins Top Surgery

Hey! My name is Robin Dabare, i’m a mixed race 18 year old, I’m from the UK and I’m transgender.

I’ve made this gofundme to try and fund my top surgery. I was put on the NHS waiting list in 2018 but i’m yet to have a consultation and I expect my waiting time will be extended due to covid. I’m starting hormone therapy with the London Transgender Clinic in April and I was able to afford this with money I got for my 18th but i won’t be able to afford top surgery as my family and I are on a low income and have no way to raise this by ourselves.

I have struggled with my body image and identity since I was 11 or 12 but despite talking to multiple mental health workers about this, it was only in 2018 that I was finally referred to the NHS. I bind everyday and wear baggy clothes to cover myself but i’m still misgendered often; with the NHS waiting list being over 4 years long now, both my mental and physical health have suffered and I just want to live as my authentic self.

I feel like I’ll finally be able to start living after top surgery; right now, living in the wrong body impacts me everyday and it can be difficult to stay positive. Having this surgery will massively improve my confidence and general happiness and it will no doubt save my life- I appreciate every penny donated and every link shared, it means the world to me.
