Travis' medical funding for Toronto
Donation protected
On June 1st my 19 year old son Travis was in a car accident. His seatbelt did not lock and his airbags did not deploy. His head hit the windshield and he did not realize the damage that his body had endured. He went into the hospital and was released diagnosed as having a concussion. The next morning Travis woke up with a light tingling in his legs. He was taken back to emergency at 9:30pm due to his condition worsening and at 10:30pm he was not able to use his legs at all. By 2:30am he lost all the feeling in his legs from his waste down. He is now at day 20 of no feeling in his legs and limited use. He is awaiting acceptance of referral to Western Hospital in Toronto for another special nerve MRI that will show if the nerves in his legs are firing. We are looking for any donations that will assist with costs of food, accomodations, possible travel to Toronto if the referral is not accepted and additional costs that may be acrued. We need to get a second opinion as we have exhausted all the resources and tests that the hospital here has to offer. We have lost pertinent time (20 days) and want to things to move quickly. Travis has been very positive throughout this entire process. Even with the ups and downs. He is very determined to figure out what is going on and get a proper diagnosis. We greatly appreciate any donations that can be made as they will help Travis in moving towards a diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Miigwech and Thank you
