Aloha all. As many of you know, my name is Matt and four years ago I decided to leave resturant work and try to better myself through higher education.  After 15 years away from an educational setting, it was difficult but with the emotional support of good friends and family I was able to graduate from UH Hilo with a BS in geology.  The hard work paid off and I have been accepted into a PhD program at the University of Houston and will be researching ways to identify the sources of contamination in our drinking water and how to fix it.  NOW, I'm having trouble funding the move to Houston from the Big Island of Hawaii and could use any assistance in getting settled and a place to live.  I have a paid position after school begins but that doesn't start until into the semester (early September) and I need to find a place to live by early August.  This position at the University if Houston is everything I could have hoped for and any assistance would mean the world to me.
