Gadolinium Toxicity Treatment
On February 12th I was poisoned with gadolinium by healthcare providers. For many who may not know because I sure didn’t, gadolinium is a very rare contrast agent used in an MRI to help the image appear clearer in areas of your body such as the brain and your spinal chord, that day I got an MRI of my brain. It is seen as an ultimate life saver and achievement in the medical world to be able to produce such technological advances and has saved lives, but there is a huge flaw within this metal that can cause it to be potentially fatal which is what the medical world doesn’t want to acknowledge. Immediately after my MRI with gadolinium I was feeling faint and dizzy , I was told to drink lots of water to flush it out and it would leave my body in 24 hours . This couldn’t be farther away from the truth. My symptoms grew persistent and worse . I have joint pain, headaches, hair loss, muscle twitches/jerks, immobility, extreme muscle weakness, gastrointestinal issues, foggy brain, ears ringing, tingling sensations, and overall feeling of sickness. My body retained gadolinium , it never flushed out despite all the amounts of water I drank and my gadolinium levels are confirmed “high”according to a sample of urine that was sent out to Mayo Clinic labs. In the process of finding this out , I was denied help by many healthcare providers especially the neuro-ophthalmologist that ordered the test for me, not only did she refuse to help but she invalidated the fact that any harm can come from gadolinium.
After much research, the help of social media , and people who care about me , I am able to now start seeking options of treatment from a few specialist. The treatment isn’t always a guarantee because gadolinium is such a harmful metal that isn’t easy to rid. Treatment can go from months to a year potentially and is not covered by any insurance because it is not seen as a medical practice and it is not seen as a medical practice because the medical world does not want to acknowledge gadolinium toxicity as a real sickness even though there are many who suffer from this. Therefore cost are very expensive and I am asking for help. Anything you give goes a long way for me and my health and too sooner heal so that when I do I can fight against the wrong that has been done to me.
