Hi! It’s me, Gene. Friend, Father, and possibly your bartender. You probably have an idea of some of the things I’ve been dealing with since March of last year when the pandemic began, if not, I’ll give a brief summary. Bars Shutdown, Reopened, I caught the Rona’ survived the Rona’, went back to work, bar closed again. 2020 was ass. DC government has been an even bigger ass, I haven’t received unemployment aid since October of last year. I finally got Through to The Unemployment Agency after Monthly attempts and they’ve transferred my case to Maryland. And guess what, same ol shit I dealt with in DC, is the same ol shit I’m dealing with in MD. I’ve been on fumes with bills and other expenses for many many months now, and wouldn’t you know, the last month before I start working again, those fumes have completely burnt out. I didn’t think I would have to make a Go Fund Me, because, I really planned on riding this out, no matter how much I struggled. Then I realized I was being silly and letting my pride get the best of me. So I am asking friends, family, bar patrons, random folk, who ever wants to show me any love, to help me reach my goal of $3000. That amount will help catch me up on my backed up bills and It will also help me stay afloat until I get back working again in April.
