Help Fund Gerard's Hip Replacement

If you know Gerard McLean, you know that he is a hard worker with a big heart and a knack for lending a helping hand. He is always there for others and even when you least expect it, you can always count on him. Every Thanksgiving, he has dinner at his house and extends his home to friends, family, and those who don't have a place to go celebrate. Gerard has a fun, optimistic spirit and is definitely the life of the party. Unfortunately, Gerard and his family found out that he is in immediate need of a hip replacement. With insurance, his medical detuctable is just over $6,000 and it will be difficult for him to meet the difference. As of right now, it is hard for him to do simple tasks such as walking, so he must rely on using a cane on a daily basis. The fact that he lives alone in a walk-up apartment will only make his recovery process more challenging. After the surgery, Gerard will be out of work for several weeks to complete rehab, and this time will prove to be financially tough. He would greatly appreciate any help from friends, family and others in this time of need, and we hope to raise this by September 20, 2016. With the amount of help he gives, Gerard deserves the same, ten-fold.
