Bri's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Hi everyone. Emily Harkness and I are putting this Go Fund Me campaign together for our close friend Briana Lescher, known to many of you as, Bri.
For those of you that know Bri you have experienced how much energy and love of life this woman has. She has traveled the world, interacted with a wide expanse of cultures, and has such an easy going nature it makes it almost impossible to not be drawn to her vibrant life force.
Many of you also know that recently Bri's life force has been severely depleted. Her abundant energy has become a precious and rare commodity for her. She has been struggling with diagnosis that are both unclear and scary.
For the past year Bri's health has been taking hit after hit. She has been in and out of doctor's appointments, ranging from traditional western doctors to alternative opinions and practices. It began with an abnormal pap smear and a possible diagnosis of cancerous cells in her cervix. She received treatment for this but the subsequent tests contnue to come back as abnormal. The path forward is uncertain and definitely undefined. Her first steps are getting a good handle on what is even happening in her body. Right now her body is showing symptoms of fatigue, inability to process what she digests, and abnormal pap smear after abnormal pap smear. She is seeing an oncologist soon to find out if what she is working with is a type of cancer.
The stress of the financial piece of these medical expenses has been difficult and has begun to influence her capacity to make decisions that could be of benefit to her, such as getting second opinions. She is also in the middle of a huge life transition as she prepares to move back to home to Ashland, OR and could really use the help and support of her friends.
Bri would use the funds donated to her to help pay for her medical expenses. We are hopeful to be able to raise enough to help her cover the premium on her health insurance so that she can continue to see doctors and get opinions and tests without having to worry about a huge bill at the end of it.
Bri would be grateful for any type of support you could offer, even if its sending loving and healing thoughts her way. Emily and I would be grateful for any funds you could donate to help our friend find some sense of security as she travles on this frusterating, scay, and uncertian path.
