Buck Green's Heart Attack - 9/10/16

Buck Green, husband to Donna Green and father to Kristi McCloskey, Shelly Phipps and Randy Green, had a heart attack on Saturday, September 10. Buck was outside doing yard work, getting ready for a camping trip with his bride. Donna was at a church concert with a friend. While Buck was mowing, he starting having chest pains. The chest pains didn't let up, he went inside to eat, and they continued on. He began having symptoms that worried him enough to call an ambulance for himself. The ambulance, paramedics and firemen were with him at the house for 10 minutes. In that time, a neighbor came over to see what was going on. Luckily, she had Donna's cellphone number. Donna had her cell phone in her hand and felt it ringing from a number that she didn’t know. Thankfully, although she doesn't normally answer calls from unknown numbers, she did. It was their neighbor who was able to tell Donna of the situation and give the phone to the paramedics. Donna and her friend rushed to the hospital.

I will take this time to say that Buck is doing so well, all things considered! He had 100% blockage in the right coronary artery and slight blockage in a few other smaller vessels. The doctor called it a major heart attack. He said that if they hadn't caught this when they did, the heart attack would have been even more severe. Thank the Lord for our bodies that let us feel pain and our minds that decide it is painful enough. They expect about 6 weeks for the heart to recover. For Buck, taking it easy for that long will be the hardest part.

The reason this GoFundMe account was started is because Buck and Donna do not have medical insurance. With an ambulance ride, Emergency admission, stints put in and a few days in a hospital, they can expect a pretty large bill. If you know Buck, you love him.
