Update: Dawn was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, terminal brain cancer. We spent her last 6 weeks caring for her and making her comfortable. A significant amount of medical expenses and travel expenses were accrued during this time. We are thankful that she is finally at peace and with her savior. Help covering her medical and funeral expenses are greatly appreciated.
My mother-in-law, Dawn Gwin, has been silently suffering for several weeks. She finally recognized the need for medical care, and the doctors have made some discoveries. Dawn has a mass in her brain that needs to be operated on. The local hospital is not able to provide the level of care she needs, so she was transported to a larger town almost an hour away. She is scheduled for surgery, and will need a lot of care over the coming months. The immediate need is providing a place for her husband, George, to stay while he visits her. Because of COVID restrictions, he is only able to see her for a brief period during the day. It’s a very long drive, there and back each day, and we know Dawn will stay strong if George is beside her as much as possible. Dawn is a well-known gospel radio broadcaster, author, and minister. She has devoted her life to service with NO request for help. Ever. We’ve been asked by several people that are feeling drawn to help in any way. Her first request is always for healing prayers. If you are moved and able to help financially, Dawn and her family will be so thankful for the support.
