Hi everyone!! This is Bob, Gena’s friend. I think most of you know me by now from following Gena’s journey. Well, unfortunately, for the 4th time, her cancer has returned, this time on her tongue. When we first found out yesterday, we thought it was going to be a little bit smaller surgery. Then they did the CAT scan and discovered that it had actually penetrated deep into her tongue. What that means is that she will now need another major, 12-13 hour surgery. They will have to remove a large part from her tongue and rebuild it similar to how they had to rebuild the inside of her cheek last time. 

We will be using any funds to help with groceries and babysitting. I am working more now than I was the last few times, so I will be looking for help with babysitting and possibly pick ups and drop offs for the kids. 

We will continue to do everything we can to help out Gena because she is the most amazing person I know. I hate that she has to go through this again.

As of now, we don’t have a surgery date but they are in a hurry to get her in, so it will probably be this week or next.
