Joseph & Brittany Simpson and their four children are missionaries to the Philippines. For 20 years, the family has served, gave to, fed, clothed, and taught Jesus to the Filipinos. A lot of times the family has put their own needs on hold to take care of the poor and needy.
In Joe's first years back to the Philippines since he was a boy, he began discipling and pastoring the spiritually hungry in a small village called San Jose. They met every day under a mango tree at his Lola's (grandmother) home and eventually it was established as their church.
There was a point in time when the church was so hungry they asked the Simpson family to stay long term because they were so in need of constant discipleship. At this point, the Simpsons decided that visiting just months each year wasn't enough and they made a plan to stay more permanently. In 2015, they bought one way tickets for their family, packed their American home up into storage, and said their goodbyes. In 2017, they were able to come home for a short visit. By 2018, they felt a shift in their ministry plans and moved to Manila where they currently reside. Joe still disciples a young group from their church in Roxas City and they are still doing all they can during these restricted times due to COVID.
They have a desire to come visit their family, hometown, friends, and church family after so many years away, but due to the large expense of 6 international tickets needed for flights - it seems an overwhelming expense for the family.
Our hope is to help get their travel expenses paid for so they can be home sometime this summer.
