This scholarship is offered in memory of Caroline Ervin whose life was tragically cut short at the age of 19. Caroline not only left behind big boots to fill, she left a legacy of love for all things equestrian. Her passion began at a young age when her obsession playing with toy horses turned into her favorite past time of riding. She quickly realized she had a gift and began working with horses while sharing her passion with anyone willing to saddle up. Her greatest joy was helping others feel the magic of riding a horse, especially children. She volunteered every summer at horse camp to teach and share her passion with others. Caroline’s gift will be memorialized through the recipient of this scholarship which will provide funding for less fortunate kids to attend horse camp at Lazy P Ranch. May Caroline’s legacy continue to inspire kids through her love of horses.
