The last two years have been filled with challenges. For those of you who know me, it is not the first time. As a single widowed mother of a large family you could say it is more the norm. I have faced countless challenges, very quietly, without sharing much. These challenges have so often been financial. Perhaps as Zig Ziglar says, "sometimes adversity is what you need in order to be successful."
In the last 2 1/2 years I have been dealing with numerous health challenges of my own and some of my sons. One son had a nervous breakdown and is still struggling to stabilize and cope. Another who is so very gifted has been homeless twice, totalled his car on the first day of a semester in a college over an hour from home. This eventually led to failing a semester and dropping out. He has yet to rally.
The biggest challenge for my sons is that one is battling cancer. He has had 3 surgeries in Charlotte and months of meds. Today he begins a course of radiation, 5 days a week for 6 weeks. He is a stoic trooper.
As to my own challenges I have been dealing with multiple organ prolapse as well as high blood pressure, depression, anxiety and plantar fasciitis. I had surgery last week to correct the prolapses and as a result I will be out of work for the next 6 to 8 weeks. Monies raised will pay bills and expenses during these weeks and clear some of the debt I have incurred this year, as well as medical bills.
Last summer in the midst of all this I had to buy a car and now my computer has died. Today I had to take one of my cats to the vet. The credit card debt is growing and I am opening new doors to allow miracles to occur. I am ready to call in my angels. Some of you have helped many times over the years. Some of you have prayed night after night. At this time I am asking once again for your help. No donation is too small, and helping as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.
