As most of you know, Danny Portnell gained his angel wings on April 16th, 2016, exactly one week after his 71st birthday. Danny held a special place in everyone's heart. His smile was infectious, it was hard not to smile when he smiled. His face always lit up whenever he talked about the SF Giants, the Niners, visiting the Bay Area for holidays, and most importantly, his birthday!

I set up this GoFundMe page to help my mom, Sheri Shima, pay for all of Danny's "farewell" expenses. She NEVER asks for financial help, and it was with much hesitation that I ask on her behalf (because she doesn't know...yet). But today, I saw her almost break down in tears from the multiplying bills coming in for Danny. There are so many other things on Sheri's plate, easing the financial stress is just one easy fix that I hope this page can accomplish. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
