Struggling Mom with Four Great Kids

As a mom I cannot imagine what it would be like to find myself unable to support my children.
I am setting up this Fund to help a dear friend and her family. She's a fantastic woman, a mom to four great kids, who works very hard, but is struggling to get by. Any of you that have ever been in a position of financial desperation, can understand what kind of relief it would be to just get a bit of help in order to get ahead. If you never have, its something to be truly thankful for. This at home mom of 20 years, going through an unexpected divorce, recieving only minuim child support has moved with her children to a small apartment and is working two P/T jobs. Minimum wage is not enough to cover food, gas, rent, basic necessities, let alone all the things kids need constantly, or unexpected things like car trouble. This is a family with very minimal wants, they just want to be able to pay bills and be together.
My hope is to raise the funds needed in one month. This may be a lofty goal, but I assure you it is worth it and time is an issue. This money will be used to assure that the kids needs are met. Things like summer reading books, new shoes, medicines and alike. With this help dollars earned from mom's two P/T jobs can go towards the basic needs of rent and food. Right now ends are not be meet, there just isn't enough for everything.
This cause is very important to me because I do not want to see a good and deserving family fail. Courts mean well, but they take too much time and they unfortunely do not solve everything.
