My brother Michael has been in ICU, for two days now. He was in a motorcycle accident this morning and while standing on the side of the road with his friends, a car came and hit all three of them.. He was run over.. Tire marks on his chest, broken ribs, lacerated kidney, and serve facial injuries and a broken jaw. A plastic surgeon sutured his face back which took over 3 hours. He is on a ventilator, but is responding to some commands. Tomorrow they will be placing a trach and a feeding tube. To prepare him for jaw reconstruction surgery on Wednesday. Mike lost his job recently and is uninsured. The person that hit him is in jail and we are not aware if she was insured or not. Mike has a long road ahead of him and a long road of recovery.
