Medical expenses for Hru Rmah

The "Montagnard Assistance Project" (501c3 non-profit) was contacted about a very sick young Montagnard in Bangkok named Rmah Hru who was very near death this past Wednesday, so a few members of the community there brought him to a Bangkok hospital for emergency treatment. They gave him an IV and feeding tube as he had lost so much weight and had a fever. The expenses alone at this hospital was roughly $750, but he has been transferred to another government run hospital for tests so they can determine the problem and prescribe the appropriate medication. We anticipate at this time that the medical costs will run in the neighborhood of $3000 - $4000. "MAP" has already committed $1500, but that really only covers the immediate needs through this week.

 Rmah Hru is the oldest of 5 children. He is 12 and the youngest baby is 8 months old. The father told me that the family has only enough rice for one day, so we will also be sending funds to provide some food for the next few weeks as the family deals with this medical crisis.

 Giving assistance to all of the Montagnard refugees is important to the "Montagnard Assistance Project", but particularly so when it impacts the young children.
