Hello to all my friends, family, and everyone in this community! My name is Lindsey and I would never think of doing something like this unless I really, truly needed it. I went back and forth with posting this all week, but I severely need any little help right now. Unfortunately, my family does not have the funds to help me either, and I don’t know what else to do. I have lived in the Valley for almost 9 years and have worked countless hours to try to make a name for myself here, help the community, and gain the knowledge I need for future endeavors in business here. The last five years have completely thrown every curveball I thought was possible. This includes horrible relationships, constantly needing to move due to horrible living situations, getting robbed at the jewelry store I worked at momentarily, getting roofied, death threats, assault, car issues, and the list continues. I absolutely love working with kids on the side due to my nature of deeply caring for families and children. I have been through a lot just like everyone else, but I do know I make a difference in these kids' lives. I also have my main passion, which is cooking and hospitality. It has been my dream to start my own business, and I was able to make it happen, which put me into some debt. I’m one person trying to move mountains, and it has been extremely hard. Due to having to move to a secure location for my dogs and myself and constantly getting bad roommate situations, it has caused me to pay for a lot of things I barely had the money for. The most recent incident of a guy bringing another random guy to my home has caused a lot of stress and worry for my life and everyone in our house. The random guy is a serious felon with a criminal history dating back to 2005 with prison time of 6 years. My phone was stolen and damaged severely due to this incident. I had to buy a new phone that was around $400 after taxes. I had to pay $165 a piece for two different protection orders and now attorney fees. Due to this incident, it has completely turned my life upside down mentally and physically. All I was trying to do was relax in my yard and feel safe for once in a home that I have put a ton of money and work into. On top of all of this, I have been dealing with a severe car issue for almost three months that caused me to not have any type of vehicle for 7 weeks. I’m almost to the finish line with my car, although my warranty company does not want to pay for the $3600 fix. It has been to multiple car shops, and this is the final straw. I would like to see change in this community in the criminal justice system, certain laws, and victims' rights. To do so, I need any help I can receive. I’m drowning in all sorts of bills and have already asked for assistance at the Eagle Valley Fund. I have a ton of different bills I’m currently paying on, and after this final incident, I need to do something to continue my fight for the good people that live here. If anyone can donate any money, even if it’s $1, I would appreciate it beyond words. I know I can be the change and continue to be the strong, loving person I know I am with a little help.
Also, if anyone is willing to help me on my car issue:
CarMax called me and basically said they are going to try one more time with the warranty company because Larry H. Miller is able to fix it for $3600. If the warranty goes through, then they will fix the car and offer me $9k.
If the warranty doesn’t go through, I’m going to have to pay out of pocket $3600, which the warranty doesn’t want to cover due to a gap in oil changes in 2024 that documents are missing.
So, with the fixed car, they are going to offer me $9k at CarMax, and without it being fixed, CarMax is only going to offer me $3k. I still unfortunately owe $11k on this vehicle already. I was not able to have a co-signer, and at the time, the car seemed great for only having 8k miles on it.
