Arturo Becerril Rodriguez was a leader, an activist and a fighter for social justice - for all workers in the United States and globally.

Arturo became involved in union organizing as a Gig driver with Uber, Lyft, Door Dash and Grub Hub. Arturo stood with CA Gig Workers Union for better working conditions and pay for drivers because he knew first hand what it is like to work full-time for these companies and still not able to afford things like an apartment to rent or benefits for himself or his 3 kids.

In 2024, Arturo finally became a union member of SEIU 721 and came on as a member organizer - working to empower clinic workers as they form a statewide union with SEIU Community Clinic Workers United.

On February 9, 2024, Arturo was tragically killed in car accident by a driver suspected to be under the influence. We are fundraising to help with his memorial and leftover donations (if any) will be given to his family - including the 3 kids he leaves behind.
