Medical Missions in Nicaragua

As most of you know, I recently graduated from college with a degree in exercise and sports science with plans of going to graduate school for occupational therapy. While I have been in the application process I have felt led to volunteer and work with individuals who are less fortunate than I. I have had a heart for missions for as long as I can remember. Lately it has been on my heart to use the medical skills I have acquired and love of people to make a difference.
BMDMI is an incredible Christian organization who is concerned with individuals' physical health, but also and even more important their spiritual health. While in Nicaragua the team will share the Gospel and hope of Jesus Christ while addressing the medical needs of Nicaraguan men, women and children. These are individuals who may not otherwise have an opportunity to see a doctor, nurse or dentist. The organization's mission is to bring real, eternal hope to the beautiful people of Nicaragua. This trip is in the first week of August, therefore, I am cutting it close on time. The organization has extended their deadline to allow me to still go on the trip. I am needing $2,000 as my trip fee which includes airfare, food, and the organization's general fees. I understand that many people will not be able to give much, but even a few dollars will be greatly appreciated. If I am not able to raise the majority of the money in a few weeks, I will have to back out of the trip. I am blessed beyond measure, and want to share the blessings of my life with others. Thank you all for anything you are willing to give.
