Hi Everyone! I currently find myself in a very difficult situation. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Depression and Panic Disorder due to a series of violent events. In 2012 I injured my back playing squash, I am still living with daily pain and my Surgeon has advised me that my injury cannot be resolved, I will be in pain to some degree for the rest of my life. We are in the process of planning invasive surgery for a Spinal Cord Stimulator. Prior to my injury I had been dealing with multiple psychological issues, which have required hospitalisation on several occasions. I have used all of my Private Health allocations for Chiro and Remedial Massage which I used to have weekly. As a result of not working since 2013 and circumstances beyond my control I also find myself in rural Victoria currently homeless, or at best in transient accommodation. I'm also in financial hardship as I am only on New Start, which is a meagre fortnightly income. I am 3 months behind in car payments, and my car is essential for getting to treatment and I am in rural Victoria. After discussion with Macquarie Bank on 20/06/2016 my car is now in the hands of the recovery/collections department. I have until 13th of July to come up with fund or risk repossession. I am also significantly behind in a cancelled credit card payment arrangement. I am unable to continue with physical therapies due to my financial circumstances, as Chiro and Remedial are both $50 per session, and my regime would usually consist of one of each per week. I've also used 8 of my 10 free Psychology sessions, my private health rebate does not even cover half of the cost of a session, and therefore that will be ceasing after 10 sessions.

My Physio, Chiro & Psychologist are all approx a 60km round trip. My GP is approx 30km round trip. With 2 Specialists in Melbourne. This is why my car is so vital to me.


I really want to get better, I still have hopes and aspirations of a career, a relationship and being back in my beloved Melbourne. I have applied for Public Housing in 3 divisions of Melbourne which could still take months to years. If you are in a position to donate, I would be eternally grateful. You would be helping me stay well, and hopefully move forward with my life, even if it's baby steps. Progress is progress.
